Guiding patients from diagnosis to empowerment is just the start.

Now everyone in Central Florida has full access to the latest treatments from the most experienced oncologists, targeted radiation therapies that dramatically reduce treatment time, and incredibly precise robotic surgeries that lead to better outcomes, faster healing and higher patient satisfaction. We also offer advanced clinical trials from a nationally recognized research team. Then our caring patient navigators are here to help plan every appointment and follow up after each test. And we’re only getting started.

Comprehensive Treatments Deliver Better Outcomes

Florida Hospital isn’t just a national leader in treating cancer. We’re a national leader in finding new ways to beat cancer today and defeat it once and for all in the future. Here are some of the therapies in which we take a national-leadership role:

  • Immunotherapy: We are using the body’s natural immune system, boosting patients’ healthy cells to search and destroy dangerous cancer cells.
  • Radiation therapy: The latest breakthroughs in radiation therapy are allowing our doctors to have better results faster than ever before. For some cancers, that means completion in two treatments or less – in some cases it can be performed during surgery to be even more efficient.
  • Chemotherapy: With more than 100 different chemotherapy drugs available (and more are added regularly) our doctors can tailor a treatment to a patient’s unique needs. We also offer convenient locations so that patients can receive ongoing treatment close to home.
  • Surgery: When surgery is the most effective way to eliminate a tumor, Florida Hospital features world-class surgeons and surgical teams, using the very latest technologies. Whenever possible, our experts offer minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgeries, which afford our patients a shorter recovery time and less risk of complications.

Breast Cancer

We’re here to help you understand your diagnosis and provide you with personalized care with breakthrough treatments such as immunotherapy. We’ve assembled a team of highly experienced doctors — including breast surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists — that will evaluate your breast cancer and develop a plan for treating it. We also specialize in advanced radiation procedures that greatly decrease the amount of time it takes to treat breast cancer — in as few as one to five days.

Head & Neck Cancer

We offer comprehensive cancer education, prevention, detection, treatment and support services for those individuals diagnosed with head and neck cancers. Our program features a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, utilizing a combination of therapies such as immunotherapy, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery.

Lung Cancer

Florida Hospital’s expert oncology team is dedicated to preventing, diagnosing and treating lung cancer. We provide safe, low-dose lung cancer screenings at convenient locations across Central Florida. If you’ve been diagnosed with lung cancer, we offer advanced therapies including immunotherapy, minimally invasive surgeries, advanced radiation therapy and innovative clinical trials.

Prostate Cancer

Since prostate cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer, we focus on early detection of the disease. However, if diagnosed, we provide traditional therapies including surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation therapy. Should a patient need more specialized care, we are the only hospital in Florida currently offering two innovative radiation treatments for prostate cancer — HDR brachytherapy and SpaceOAR®.

Gastrointestinal Cancer

Our team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and specialists are committed to developing advanced therapies, such as immunotherapies, for gastrointestinal cancer — colorectal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer and gastric cancer. And for patients with pancreatic, liver cancer or metastasis to the liver, we provide two innovative procedures — stereotactic body radiation therapy and radioembolization therapy.
